Minecraft is about to have its own theme park
Engadget reported that game development company Mojang Studios and entertainment group Merlin Entertainments plan to build a series of theme park-style attractions called Adventures Made Real, bringing the world of Minecraft to real life.
Merlin Entertainments is preparing to build two Minecraft theme parks in the US and the UK, which are expected to open to guests between 2026 and 2027.
Of course, the park will also offer digital experiences, allowing visitors to “unlock exclusive in-game content,” according to Merlin Entertainments.
As the second largest amusement park builder after Disney, Merlin Entertainments operates LEGOLAND (Lego puzzle theme park), Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, … And Mojang Studios is known for developing the game Minecraft in 2009.
Minecraft is a multi-platform action-adventure game that does not set specific tasks, but allows players to freely choose how to play (as long as the health meter of the character they control has not reached 0).
